Hi, I’m Hallye.
I grew up on a hobby farm and currently live in a small college town in Wisconsin by way of Chicago, Boulder, Minneapolis, and New York City.
Illustration clients include Radiolab, REI, Feminist Bird Collective, Friends of the Highline, and Running Press Kids (Hachette Book Group). My work has been featured in gallery exhibits with Light Grey Art Lab in Minneapolis, MN and Art on the Ave in NYC, and in 2021 I was honored to win Pfizer’s Design for Science competition in the Oncology category.
In addition to my illustration practice I work as a graphic designer and art director for Little Spoon (check it out if you have kids!) and take on freelance projects in brand identity, production design, and prop styling.
When I’m not heads down in a project I enjoy reading short stories, flipping through cookbooks, decorating cakes, going for walks, watching dog videos, and eating ice cream. My husband Steve and I love to explore new cities and hang out on the couch with our dog Moss (@mossinnewyork).
